3e. If you cancel after 1 August, the full costs are due.

  1. The presentation.

4a. In order to safeguard the quality of the presentations and thus to a large extent the quality of the FAB #1, the photographs must meet quality requirements that are determined by, on the one hand, the technical qualities of the image(s) (see 4h) and, on the other hand, in a qualitative/artistic sense by an balloting committee.

4b. In order to achieve a harmonious layout, the layout of FAB #1 is determined and monitored by the designers.

4c. Each presentation in FAB #1 on 1 page consists of 1 image (is 1 work of art) plus the details of the work (title, year, material and measurements). In addition, the website and/or the e-mail address of the artist are mentioned.

4d. Each presentation in FAB #1 on 2 pages consists of 2 images (is 2 artworks) plus the details of the work (title, year, material and measurements). In addition, the website and/or e-mail address of the artist is mentioned, as well as the price of the artwork.

4e. Each presentation in FAB #1 on 4 pages consists of 4 images (is 4 artworks) plus the data of the work (title, year, material and measurements). In addition, the website and/or e-mail address of the artist is mentioned, as well as the price of the artwork.

4f. Each presentation in FAB #1 on a fold out page consists of 4 images (is 4 artworks) plus the data of the work (title, year, material and measurements). In addition, the website and/or e-mail address of the artist is mentioned, as well as the price of the artwork.

4g. The deadline for delivery of the photo or photos for FAB #1 is September 1st 2020.

4h. The photo or photos for the presentation must be uploaded upon registration or e-mailed (preferably via www.wetransfer.com) with a minimum (specifications) of 300 dpi in jpg, jpeg, gif, psd or tif.

4i. The colors are converted to CMYK before printing, which may cause some color difference. The advice is to do this yourself before shipment.

4j. The publisher takes care of a harmonious layout of all presentations.

4k. All presentations are presented to the artists for a final check after layout, before printing (as pdf). Any corrections should be returned to the editors within 5 working days after sending the proof. Subsequent reactions can no longer be processed.

4l. The publisher decides where in the FAB #1 the presentations will be placed.

4m. Timely delivery of photo(s) and text (see 4c-4f.) is necessary because of the fixed publication date of FAB #1. In case of late delivery the right to participate expires and the costs remain due.

4n. If more photos are e-mailed than can be placed in the presentation, the designer makes a selection without further consultation of the artist.

4o. The photos must be free of rights and can be placed without costs and/or mentioning the photographer.

4p. By sending in one or more photos, permission is granted to use the photo or photos for other (publicity) purposes for the benefit of FAB #1 without compensation, such as on the website of FAB #1 and in folders or other printed matter for the benefit of FAB #1.

4q. The publisher may, for the benefit of FAB #1, mention the names of the artists with a presentation in FAB #1, in the manner and places it wishes. Mentioning them on the website of the FAB #1 and in folders is possible. These mentions are free of charge for the artists.

4r. On the website of the FAB #1 photographs of works of art of several artists are shown with short introductions to the artists.
